About Debbie

Debbie takes an omnivorous approach to life - she believes you should try at least one bite of everything. She started out with a journalism degree and a love of newsrooms, but discovered that food writing could touch on all aspects of life, and offer the greatest opportunity to connect with people. The only thing people like as much as eating food is talking about it.

Publications:
“Sunday Dinner,” a monthly column about food and life in the South, in The News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C.
“The Tasteful Garden,” a monthly column about how to cook what you grow and grow what you like to eat, in The News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C. (Co-authored with garden writer Carol Stein.)
Debbie’s work has appeared in Southern Living, Midwest Living, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Dallas Morning News, Our State, Edible Piedmont,“Cornbread Nation” and other publications.
Her blog, Moose Musings, talks about food in North Carolina and beyond.
She contributes blogs on grilling to JanNorris.com, and blogs on cooking and food fun to KitchenScoop.com.
